...sorry for spamming you with dresses today, but Im just in total summer-mode, dreaming about all sorts of made-up celeb weddings, after parties, barbecues in the hamptons, lazy days on yachts in the French Riviera etc., that I'm attending this summer! - and then you gotta dress for the occasions right? :) The first two dresses are from Danish designers: the first from Day Birger et Mikkelsen and the second from Malene Birger's own brand. The last one is from Halston and very Carrie in SATC2 (maybe it IS in fact the dress she is wearing, im not sure?) but I have a thing for short dresses with long sleeves so I gotta have that too!! hmm... anyway, enough dreaming for now, I'll go make delicious Easter brunch for the bf and myself! I dream of walzing around in these maxis + the yellow emilio puccilo i posted previouly, all summer! I love em all. The white one is a stella mcartney, the pink is from T-Bag and the green is from Halston Heritage ( a brand I didn't discover until recently, but they truely make GOREOUS dresses!) Anyway, can't afford any of them, and probably wont the next couple of months, so for now im just dreaming... but what a dream! :) (gotta love net-a-porter!!)

...Har ik' fået blogget særlig meget de sidste dage, - har stadig travlt med oversættelses-opgaven som jeg har deadline på på onsdag + alm. uni halløj og arbejde... Men synes alligevel lige jeg ville poste billeder af mine to nyeste køb (for shopping er der ALTID tid til :) )
kjolen er en just female sag til 400 kr. Faldt for nitte-detaljerne på ærmerne. Og så sidder den rigtig godt - bomuldsstrech på den gode måde! Har tænkt mig at paire den med læderlook leggins, mine sorte wedge støvler og et chunky sort/hvidt tørklæde til hverdag og med sorte strømper, fine sølvsmykker og stiletter til fest...
Nederdelen er rigtig fin "på". Den er fra H&M... Synes den er sådan lidt Alexa Chung agtig - højtaljet, balloneffekt og noget lidt sjovt stof og spøjs farve, men sammen med tykke sorte strømper, en tucked-in tank og en sort boyfriend blazer er den altså SUPER fin!
Skal både på (tidlig)weekend-ophold fra torsdag til fredag og til konfirmation søndag, så mon ik' jeg får prøverkørt noget af det der...

My newest buys - will be perfect with black tights, silver jewelry, a boyfriend blazer and wedges... Have lots of occasions to wear them to this week - will be great! ...Mandag = starten på en ny uge. Det er her man lover sig selv at spise super sundt hele ugen (derfor omelet med spinat og tomat), efter en weekend fuld af junk... Hvis man er totalt overskudsagtig har man lagt tøj frem aftenen før og skal bare lige hoppe i det (yep, har jeg faktisk gjort for en gangs skyld! ) Sorte cheap monday jeans, hvid basic tee og min mørkegrå MJ-style uldcardigan med 3/4 ærmer (tror jeg har vist billede af den før...) Anyway, har altså go tid her til morgen, men havde glemt at tage højde for lille bitte dilemma: which shoes to wear??? Har nemlig to ret nye par som jeg er helt vild med i øjeblikket! Mine elskede wedges fra defeeter, og så mit røverkøb fra sidste uge. 100 kr. i Bianco. Billedet gør dem ik rigtig justice - de serlidt mormor-agtige ud her, men hælen er SÅ fed, rigtig chunky og lige mig! what to choose??

Monday = the beginning of a new week. Where we promise ourselves to start eating healthy (therefore the omelet with spinach and tomatoes) after a weekend full of junk... Made today's outfit ready last night so all I had to do was jump in them, but there is still one small dilemma left: which shoes to wear?? both pairs are fairly new. The defeeter wedges are probably my favorites at the moment, and the other pair i bought last week on sale. They were really, really cheap (12 dollars) and i love the chunky heel (which is not done quite justice on this photo)... What to choose??

Im a busy girl:) Skal også have lavet mit actual homework i dag, og skal også lige nå at have tænkt nogle tanker om hvad jeg vil skrive bachelor om + jeg selvfølgelig skal se X-factor i aften (mest for at se hvad pernille rosendahl har på!!)
Gjorde forresten 2 super gode køb i går: 1 par fede sorte sko med den mest fede chunky hæl fra bianco - sat ned til 100 kr.!! og en fin Alexa Chung -like kort ballon-nederdel fra H&M med bred sort elastik-kant og ellers i sådan noget lyseblåt, lidt kraftigt stof. Den er super fin - skal nok se om ik' jeg kan få taget nogle billeder af den... Until then, ha' en rigtig go dag:) //L

...så fandt jeg endelig den læderjakke jeg har ledt efter den sidste måned. På model Elettra Rosellini. Til Paris Fashionweek. Den er uden tvivl dyr - sikkert aaalt for dyr til mig, men den opfylder alle mine kriterier:
1. Den går til hoften, IKKE kun til taljen
2. Den har høj krave, which I love!
3. Ærmerne er tilpas lange
4. Den er figursyet og super simpel

Early Morning In Paris...

...thats the name of this picture found on lookbook.nu. I like the mood of it. I imagine that Im this girl. Having just been out for a refreshing morning run by the Seine, watching the big city of love awake... Then home, shower, dress (which by the way doesn't take very long, because I have that special Paris chicness in me, which make me look effordlessly pretty in anything!) By the look of the girl (me) on the picture, I imagine Im a model, on my way to work. Im having breakfast on the go; a greasy croissant and a skinny latte (actually Im not a big fan of either pastries or coffee, I'd prefer an omlete and a soy chai, but you cant wear boots like that and then be sipping cinnamon-flavoured tea... right?) Anyway, Im enjoying the strong sunbeams on my face as they battle out the last shreds of winter. I love Paris in spring and cant wait for an opportunity to flash my new Miu Miu platforms. But enough day dreaming - im almost there now, at Le Louvre where today's photoshoot is taking place... Im gonna be in head-to-toe couture. From Galliano, Chanel and Valentino. Enter reality; im really just sitting in my couch wrapped in a blanket, wearing a cheap H&M tank and ditto leggins. Im sipping on a chai - that part was true!! as for the rest of it, well a girl gotta be allowed to dream...! Good thursday all!!

Her er én af de gaver jeg fik til fødselsdag; en rigtig fin T-shirt kjole i sort/hvid med guldknapper hvorpå der er trykt små ankere (sød detalje:) Synes den er rigtig fed, og jeg er meget glad for den - har længe ville have noget stribet sailor-halløj, men som var lidt anderledes! Den er fra just female og koster 349 kr. Har den på i dag med et par sorte satin-leggins - en varm sort cardigan, sorte støvler og de her øreringe, som er mine yndlings for tiden...

Manden er GENIAL! og excentrisk og over-the-top og meeeget haute couturish. Men jeg ELSKER ham. Han forstår virkelig at lave shows hvor hver eneste creation blir stylet og transformeret til show-stopping pieces! Han kan altså bare det dér, Dior er SÅ heldige at de har fingrene i ham... Skrev faktisk opgave om ham på uni for ik så længe siden; super, super spændende! ...-og så elsker jeg at han iscenesætter sig selv også (se sidste billede), som en lille kejser napoleon midt i sit mode empirie...

The man is BRILLIANT! ...and excentric and over-the-top and very haute couturish - also in his pret-a-porter collection. But he knows how to make shows, where every piece becomes show stopping due to amazing styling and great sense of detail... Dior is so lucky to have him! Actually did an assignment on him not too long ago - he's such an interesting person... and also i love the last picture where you can really see how he makes himself to be like a little Napoleon - emperor of an amazing fashion empire...

Top 5 Oscar Dresses

Hello there ;-) 4 hours of sleep and im back in business!! had a GREAT birthday party - was so cozy and fun and the food turned out great and everyone was happy! Got great, great gifts too, i'll do a post on them later! But first lets talk about the Oscars last night! (sandra bullock won as i had hoped!) Anyway, the above is my top 5 favorite dresses: I really like how miley cyrus has been dressing for these events for the past season - young and flirty but still with a classic silhouette - i think she looks stunning! Vera Farmiga is just an actress i always considered to be very serious and a tad boring, so i thought it was great to see her take a risk with both color choice and volume. She really pulls it off and surprised me, so she deserved credit for that! No 3 + 4 are just gorgeous in themselves, no matter what they wear really! ;-) and then there's rachel McAdams who looks beeyond beautiful in this floral. really! I love her so much. Been a favourite of mine since the Notebook and Mean Girls days (God, I love those movies!) - she's just so alive and seems so bubbly and happy and put together and here everything just works for me! You guys agree with my top 5??

Me And Oscar, We're Like This: X

...glemte helt at skrive, at det jo også er Oscar's aften i aften! Normalt hader jeg at dele min fødselsdag med andre (attention on me please. treat me like a princess please! haha:) ) men I år er det lidt anderledes; deler nemlig fødselsdag med min aller yndlings oscar, som ligesom jeg selv, er helt vildt med red carpet glam og best/worst dressed lists - nå ja, og så film selvfølgelig! Jeg er ret vild med film. Har set de fleste, af dem, der er nomineret til bedste film. Synes Sandra Bullock er helt fantastisk i "The Blinde Side" og i "the Proposal", Meryl Streep er igen i en league of her own i Julie & Julia og Avatar er jo bare en sindsyg smuk 3D film! What can i say, tror helt sikkert der er linet up til en all-nighter i casa Louise. Perfekt fødselsdagshygge hvis I spørger mig:) Ska' I os se med i aften?

...forgot to write that im sharing my birthday with my favourite oscar! an oscar, who like myself, loves fashion and movies. Im gonna have to pull an all-nighter tonight! ;) ...cant wait to see which dresses are gonna walk the red carpet, and which actress will take home the best actress award. ...yup, this big gal is turning 22 today! wuhuu me:) won't be blogging much today; have to clean and study a little here the next couple of hours, then my parents and one of my sisters are coming over and i'll get PRESENTS!! (best part of the day, dont wanna lie - its gonna be like fashion heaven!) and then tonight i have my first bigger dinner-party where i'll be cooking fresh pasta with baconwrapped meat and gorgonazola sauce + fresh salad and for desert chokolate cupcakes decorated with whipped cream and fresh strawberries and lots of cut out fresh exotic fruits, mashmellows, chokolates etc. ...i'll post pictures of everything tomorrow!

...jep, så blir pigen 22 i dag! wuhuu me:) ...får ik tid til at blogge særlig meget, skal have gjort badeværelse rent (hader, HADER jeg!) og læse designteori til i morgen (er egentlig ok men meget, meeeeeget langt!) og så får jeg besøg af mine forældre og lillesøster senere (gaver, gaver, take me to fashion heaven please! ;-) ) og i aften skal jeg så holde mit dinner-party for en masse gode venner.... første gang vi skal ha så mange på besøg! vi ska ha bacon-wrapped svinemørbrad i gorgonzolasauce, frisk pasta og en lækker salat, og til dessert hen på aftenen har jeg bagt små chokolade-cupcakes som skal dekoreres med en klat flødeskum og friske jordbær, og så laver jeg et stort frugtfad og et fad fyldt med mashmellows, toffeefees, maltesers, og alle mulige andre godter:) they're gonna love me! :) poster billeder af gaver i morgen (ved det meste af hvad jeg får, er sådan én, der godt selv ka li, at planlægge hvad de andre skal købe til mig, og evt. lægge det til side for dem... ;-) )

...er ret glad for diors fall 2010 kollektion... synes den har lidt af det samme vibe som D&G's (se tidligere post) med de fine chiffonkjoler, tunge pelse og strik og lange strømper. Love, love, love :) ...er også helt vild med frakken på første billede, der er lidt dip dye/washed out effekt over den (en trend jeg er ret glad for p.t) og så synes jeg de assymetriske detaljer i søm og krave er SÅ fine... Good job Dior!!

...im very enthusiastic about diors fall 2010 collection - love the light chiffons, the heavy fur and knits and the long stockings - kinda the same vibe as D&G had going... Anyway, i just really love it, - especially the dip dye effect on the coat on pic 1. Good job Dior!!

Here comes the long promised pics of my newly decorated apartment! best part; only costs have been one american elle magazine (which I would have bought anyway ;) ) and a pack of teachers glue (or elephant snot or what else its called??) ...the owner of our place was kind enough to pay for the floor paint, and the rest of the black/white pics on the walls are from a bunch of old magazines and a book i have called "fashion" with lots of old advertisements; Im very happy with how the hall-way turned out, what do you guys think? ("chinellas" - as it says on one of the boxes means slippers in tagalog (my boyfriends native language. its one of my favorite words, say it with me: CHINELLAS haha ! :) )

...for guess what: pernille rosendahl var i brokadestof fra top til tå! Præcis dét jeg lige havde givet Balmain svineren for:) well, right back at ya Louise! Men joke aside, så SÅ Rosendahl altså fantastisk ud igen i aften, - synes hendes outfit var super fint, især fordi det netop var holdt i sort/hvid (og hverken metallic eller guld!!) ...men lidt skægt alligevel, når jeg nu lige havde skrevet om det... Nå ja, og hvis der var nogen af jer, der var vilde med cheryl coles harem-looking bukser med slids i begge sider, så fås der en okay knowck-off på asos, bare kig under "nye varer"....

...How could you possibly think that after a really cool Fall 2009 collection you'd wanna follow up with a 2010 ditto full of glossy, cheap-looking gold blazers and brocade-pants suits in all-metallic??? Normally I dont use my blog to dish on designers, but I (used to?) LOVE balmain and this was just not at all what i expected from them... Buhuu, and also its snowing again like crazy!! ...just when i thought spring was on its way! hmm, think i need to go make myself a comfort-snack and watch some X-factor... At least there im guaranteed some great fashion from the always gorgeous Pernille Rosendahl! xx

...Er helt forbavset over Balmains fall2010 kollektion. Synes den er noget forfærdelig! Sorry, men jeg plejer at ELSKE Balmain, og så kommer de op med det her? Billigt-udseendede guldblazere og en hel masse items i brokade-mønstret metallic-farvet stof?? Jamen altså! Mød Peter Philips, Head of Makeup for Chanel. Læste en artikel med ham på style.com, og blev inspireret til at dedikere en blogpost til ham... Havde, indrømmet, aldrig hørt om ham før. Og det på trods af at han er selveste manden bag sidste års über-hypede Chanel Jade neglelak, og i års waiting-list-only midlertidige tattoos, I ved, dem der blev vist på catwalken tidligere i år... Jeg synes det er lidt vildt. Især fordi manden først begyndte på alt det her make-up halløj da han var 27! prøv at tænk at være så heldig lige pludselig at finde sin passion og så at blive så succesfuld. Hatten af for ham:) Mr. Pilips lægger fantastisk make-up - både det lidt out-there som han er kendt og efterspurgt for ved alle de store shows, og så beauty-shotene som han laver for Vogue og alle de andre store... Elsker simpelthen hans arbejde! ...Og så til det sidste nye. Hans up-comming kollketion af læbefarver (ikke læbestift, det er er et fy-ord når man prøver at nå unge fashionforward kvinder!!) ...de kommer i en hel masse fine farver, og skulle være super behagelige at bruge... i dont know, har aldrig, aldrig været til at putte noget på læberne andet en helt almindelig læbepomade, så jeg tror ik lige det blir mig, der hopper først på den vogn, men ja - han har jo som sagt lykkedes vildt godt med alle sine andre projekter, så mon ik os rouge coco (det hedder de!) skal blive en success... we'll see:)

Mr. Philips is the man behind such iconic and hyped items as last years must-have nail polish: Chanel Jade, and this years waitlist-only accessory; the temporary tattoos featured on the runway earlier this year... Furthermore he does beautiful makeup - and is well sought after at all the big magazines and runway shows... And guess what: he didnt pick up a makeup brush until he was 27! talk about finding your passion!! ...his next hit, they say, will be a new line of lip clouring (lip sticks, dont know why they wont call em that? well, okay maybe because they know a lot of young women (including myself!) associate that with something very lady-like) ...the lip colouring come in a lot of different shades, are targeted at young women and they're supposed to be very light and hydrated. So Rouge Coco (thats their official name) is perhaps something to look out for? hmm, personally im not sure, but then again, Philips has been pretty spot on so far...

...inspireret af H&M's accessories tillæg, der kom ind af brevsprækken i går, tænkte jeg, at jeg lige ville vise, hvordan jeg har tænkt mig at incorporate alle de flower-prints, der er alle vegne her for tiden... På den ene side tror jeg meget på tilbehør i brune nuancer til forår/sommer... tænker de lækre Vila espadrillos med peep toe, stråhatte, brune læderbælter og solbriller i brune nuancer (og så selvfølgelig lækker solbrændt hud, cant wait!) ...Fra H&M's kollektion er jeg vild med flower print stiletterne, det store tærklæde og blomsternederdelen - som jeg dog ikke vil ha på sammen!! det blir for meget. Sandalerne vil jeg fx parre med en army jersey kjole, brundt bælte, og det store tærklæde, mens nederdelen ville gå fint sammen med stråhatten og vila-skoene... see what i mean?? anyway, glæder mig bare over at solen nu har skinnet 3 dage i TRÆK, har MEGET mere ENERGI og føler mig super, super glad:) håber det smitter! ...Inspired by H&M's accessories catalog i recieved in the mail yesterday i just thought i'd show you how im planning on incorporating the whole flower print trend thats going on this season... the key is to not wear all your flower prints at once, but just one or two pieces you then mix up with for instance brown shoes, hats, belts (which i think will be THE accessories shade for me this summer!) ...for instance i could see myself wearing the flowery skirt with the brown peeptoe wedges, the straw hat and the sunglasses, or the flower print stilettos with an army green jersey dress, a brown belt and the big flowery scarf... see what i mean?? of course you have to imagine it all on a me (or you) thats really tan and gorgously ready for summer (which isnt all that hard these days considering that the sun has now been shining for 3 days IN A ROW!! wuhuu:) ) ...anyway, im just super happy these days, hope you guys are too!! kiss, kiss

...as much as i wanna stay under covers and snooze again today, I can't! Have an important morning class so i have to get up! Unfortunately. Been freezing like crazy all night. We slept in the living room (due to my floor painting project!) on a couple of blankets - with jackets and gloves on cause our heat isnt working. again! Therefore I now have a sore throat, dammit! hopefully it will be better after showering (finds that hot showers can help anything! :) ) The sweater on the pic is what I'll be wearing today. With skinny jeans and black biker boots. Dont feel like dressing up, just wanna stay warm, but really love the lace detail on the sweater, which makes it "okay" to wear out in the public haha:) Have a good day ya all.... xxoo

Joy1: the joy of finding lost jewelry! ...as you know im in the process of painting all my floors white. today I did the bedroom, but first i of course had to clean up under my bed. What a mess!! But in that mess, in between old school books, a pair of used socks (eww!) and a lot of other crap I found one of my old bags... I put it there 2 years ago after a trip to milan and venice (first vacation with my bf) where it broke... anyway, just before i threw it out i spotted something on the buttom: my long lost jewelry!!! One of my favorite pair of earrings and my long silver origami necklace that i just LOVE!! ...made me so happy!
Glæde 1: glæden ved at finde glemte smykker! ...midt i alt rodet under min seng (er ved at male gulve så for ryddet op i hele hytten!) fandt jeg en gammel taske (fake lois vuittion to be exact) som jeg havde med på en rejse for et par år siden, men som var gået i stykker. Skulle lige til at smide den ud, da jeg i bunden skimtede noget sølv; mine forlagte smykker som jeg har ledt som en gal efter! Vi taler næsten-yndlings øreringe og fin, lang origami-halskæde, som jeg bare sådan har SAVNET!

Joy 2: ....Watching the FUNNY commercial Emily Salmon posted on her blog! Made my day for sure (and a bunch of my facebook friends - had to share!!) The Disney-song + post on sidneylise's blog came in second almost as funny! Im so happy when bloggers share:)
Glæde 2: ...glæden ved Emily's blog generelt, men særligt den SJOVE reklame hun postede (som jeg nu har spammet alle mine fb venner med!) + sidneylise-pigernes næsten lige så sjove disney-blog! I gør mig i så godt HUMØR!

Joy3: ...After 5 weeks of waiting i finally got my grade for the uni assignment i handed in january. subject fashion. assignment haute couture. grade 10!!! I kick ass:)
Glæde 3:...efter 5 ugers LANG ventetid fik jeg endelig min karakter i mode i dag! havde skrevet om haute coutures præmisser og betingelser i modeverdenen i dag (couture husene tjener INTET på deres couture kollektioner, så hvorfor blir de ved med at lave dem, osv. osv...) Fik 10 - og er super glad. synes selv jeg er for sej:)

Joy 4: Yesterday my bf and I talked about that it would be nice to get a new couch(we have a really, really old one, covered with a white blanket) but we can't afford one... Then guess what: out of the blue one of my sweet friends calls me today, telling me that her mom is moving and getting a new couch, and she was wondering if we'd like her old ones (which are GREAT!) FOR FREE!! Can you believe that? Karma is my friend:)
Glæde 4: ...Glæden ved at snakke om noget man kunne tænke sig (men ik har råd til) den ene dag, og så få en sød besked den næste dag fra en der tilbyder en 2 fede sofaer GRATIS! ....kommer til at passe perfekt ind min ny-indrettede stue. Ska nok poste billeder når jeg når så langt!

FREE delivery from nelly.com the next couple of days and LOTS of LOTS of NEW, COOL STUFF!! I found myself this gorgeous 3/4 wool cardigan with MJ-style shoulder details - LOVE it. Its my birthday gift from my sweet boyfriend, so even though it will probably arrive mid next week, Im not allowed to open it, or even try it on until sunday. Have a feeling that will be kinda hard!! :) (maybe just a small peak when he's not home???)
Other than buying gifts for myself and looking forward to my birthday Im still painting floors... started thursday night but it needs 4 layers!! ...since the weather still suck, i guess its okay to talk a little about winter coats these days, even though i'd prefer blogging about which summer dress to wear on the beach tomorrow (yeah right, in my dreams! ;) ) ...anyway, its not this winter's coats - but next fall/winter i wanna talk about, cause take a look at these coats from burberry's recent show; are they HOT or what? Love, LOVE number one and two, they are just so gorgeous!!! wish I could wear them tomorrow! ...one of the fashion editors who attended the shows wrote on her blog that she heard Kate Hudson craving number two as well (will look GREAT on her!!!) and Kristen Steward (you know, the girl from the twilight-movies) is said to have her eyes on the third (which also makes good sense to me...) Overall Burberry did a great show, lots of olive and army-colors and cool leather details - and best of all: they have made it possible to pre-order most of the collection on their website, as in right now!!!! go check it out - if not to buy, then just to have a peek... who knows, Hudson and Steward may be doing the exactly same thing on the other side of the Atlantic...

...sipping on a hot soy chai while writing this, that's my favorite winter warm drink. In summer I love fresh watermelon juice. Last fall i went to the Philippines for a month with my boyfriend and our friends; it was the best experience I ever had. Love to travel in general. People who dont know me usually gets the impression that Im very put together and organized. The people who know me, know that I am sooo messy and unorganized and silly and impulsive... But thats the way i like it:) Im quite good at drawing and painting, I like to sketch clothes but never made any of it... or showed it to anyone! When I was 14 i entered an architecture competition, firmly believing i actually stood a chance against professionals... But thats me. Im ambitious and I usually get what I want. I want to be an editor of a fashion magazine (preferably my own!) or be in charge of marketing, PR and show planning for a huge design house... my favourite tv shows are One Tree Hill, The City, Vampire Diaries and Modern Family, I have two sisters who I love sooooo much, i try to eat healthy but have a weakness for chocolate, ice cream and any foods with melted cheese... What else, uhmm, favorite actors/actresses: johnny depp, kate winslet, meryl streep (because they're good!), sophia bush, gerald butler, hugh jackmann (because they're really hot!!), Im a sucker for romantic movies (i.e. the notebook, P.S. I love you, The Lakehouse, If only, Letter in a Bottle, What dreams may come... stuff like this for sure makes me cry!!!) ...also i like to play on my boyfriend's ps3 when he's not home. I study design and economics of culture at the university of southern denmark, and i work part time in a bookstore, I like to dance but lacks a bit of grace and rythm im afraid! ;) i am a dreamer, but also brave. Have one fear; mice (traumatic childhood experience - walked around with a mouse in my boot all day, couldnt get my boot off myself (think i was 4 or 5) and when finally i came from kindergarden and my mom helped me get them off, the mouse was dead and I was scared for life!! :) ) True story!! Finally its my birthday in 12 days, wuhuuu!

Weird Dream Staring Blue Umbrealla. Read!

...this is a little weird. so be prepared! Last night i posted two pictures from lookbook.nu showing a couple of gorgeous summer dresses... I also came across this picture which I liked a lot too, but it didnt think it really fit the summer-theme i had going, so i just scrolled by it... the girl is from germany by the way. Anyway, a little after i fell asleep on the couch, laptop still in my lap, head resting on my boyfriend's shoulder... and i started dreaming: dreamed that it was I, flying around with a blue umbrella! ...it was spring, i was wearing a blossomy princess dress and a brown fedora hat, and matching brown cowboy boots (this is a fashion blog, so these details are important! :) ) ...it was spring, the sun was shining and i was in america, late 50's - girls wearing pastels, guys in leather, sipping milkshakes on the local diner, - totally grease style... then suddenly i realized that i was no longer me, I was now elena from "The Vampire's Diaies", which I had just watched the season finale of, and from then on everything turned into vampire-drama, teenage love and bloodsucking horror!! but i weren't scared, cause i had my blue umbrella, and knew that i could just let the wind take me away anytime, if things got too ugly...
If you're still hanging on it means that it was weird, so weird you had to read on just to see what else my crazy mind would come up with... dont blame you, i sometimes wonder that too ;)
What do you think it meant though, my dream?? other than being a combo of things i saw just before i fell asleep... Personally, i think it means that I can do anything, be anyone i wanna be, dont have anything to be afraid of... hello, hello... nothing much going on here today. nothing big or dramatic or gossipy to share, and no plans for tonight... yet! ;-)
...i tried this dress on in H&M today, I really like it! Will be great with leather leggins and a thin cardi for spring, and super feminin with bare legs and sandals for all the gorgous parties of summer. Ahh, already have big plans for this dress!! :) and with 20% off in H&M this week it's actually a really great buy!
Also I had to have these defeeter wedges! planning on convincing my mom to give them to me for my upcomming birthday as Im already way over my clothing budget this month!!! Not good Louise, not good! (...but i had to, it like just popped into my bag, wrapped and paid for and everything, and think of all the ways you can use them, they'll be perfect for just about anything!!) know what i mean? anyone??
Also I find that february is a really great month for rewarding yourself for how well you did in january's exams (just like i did in january after handing them in, just because i had a good feeling about them haha) and besides, february is a short month meaning you get to spend a little extra to make up for the 2-3 days of food and stuff you've saved... The heel is 8 cm, which is perfect for me (I'm very insecure about looking taller than my boyfriend! - it's like going against nature I feel;-) ) so Im just so happy I found them! I am of course gonna start wearing them as soon as I get them (who wants to wait for spring, I mean that could be MONTHS away!), but there's the whole sock-dilemma... I've got ordinary black nylons, I've got polka dotted ones, and cute cotton ones with nice hole-details BUT they all have that terrible seem across the toes that I really don't like when wearing peeptoes... Minor detail I know, but hey what is this blog if not to write about my problems, big or ...small! :) So I'm wondering, any of you guys know about a secret maker of socks that go with sandals??? - or am I just being a silly-sally... :) xoxo /L

Cool Detail And Projects In The Making

...just came across this picture and thought the sleeve-details is a fun way to dress up an outfit! I think they're pretty easy to make yourself, I'd probably use different leather ribbons and lose the flower to make it a little more raw, but it works great this way with the Chanel inspired jacket and also I really like the shorts!...my next project will be to try to make some black feather shoulder pads, but after that I think I actually might try these... would doubtlessly be easiest to make in origami paper, but with the danish weather (rain and snow!) that would probably make them way too fragile, so I guess I'll have to think of something else that can keep the shape and is easy to work with...

...i realize that its a little risky to post something i really, really like, love and want, as there is a chance that any one of you loves it as much as me and is willing to outbit me, but im taking my chances! :) ...cause i had to SHARE this PERFECT, WHITE, STUDDED, 40-INSPIRED VINTAGE MAXI-DRESS! It's on the top of my wishlist right now, will be so perfect on me, and all the stories i already have in my head about the elegant, edgy young american woman I imagine wore it... the kind of woman who smoked long cigarettes, loved dancing, was a real flirt with a bad mouth but truely mesmorizing eyes, - the kind of woman the guys loved and the girls envied... she was wearing this dress to a high society party in a jazz club way back then in the 40's, her dark brown hair was waving around her shoulders, her laugh filling the room like the scent of her perfume, drawing everyone towards her...

You see???? I HAVE to have it:) Bitting on e-bay ends wednesday, have to keep cool until then, but don't you agree: this dress is IMPECABLE! Love /L

Just A Few Interior Ideas...

...in the spirit of writing-only-what-i-wanna-write-about (see last post) and with inspiration from the lovely emily salomons blog, I just thought I'd share with you my other passion: interior design! The pictures are from my appartment, - thought you might like some of my ideas...? In my kitchen I wanted to show you the aluminium board we use for pictures and stuff. Like the rawness it gives to the room. The next picture is just to show how easy it is to use books as a part of your decoration... mine are mostly about design and fashion, and are really pretty in themselves, and I think it gives a nice, simple effect. The next two pictures are from my bathroom. We have a really, really tiny bathroom, hard to make cozy and wellnessy (is that a word?) :) ...anyway, i decided to paint a little gold here and there, and painted a picture of a buddha (see picture), to sort of set the mood... think it turned out great, the small shelf (which is just a piece of wood painted black) works perfectly and has given the room a twist of personality! The final two pictures are from my working space, just wanted to pass on the joy of making collages/mood boards or whatever they're called with cut-outs from magazines, books etc... Personally I think its a huge source of inspiration, and really decorative as well! If you like I'll post more pictures soon, until then... xoxo /L

Crappy Post and Gorgeous Clutch!

My last post sucked! You have to tell me these things, feel free to comment all you want; good AND bad, I mean it wasn't even that interesting to myself, just thought i should write SOMETHING about the fashion week i didnt go to, but from now on, I'll only write about things that I would like to read about myself, and not just because something is a HOT topic in blog world (also makes it a lot more fun to read about those of you who DID go to CFW, cause you're stories are so much more interesting and I shouldnt feel pressured to keep up...) But enough about that! Here's a picture of the clutch I was telling you about in my crappy last post) Its my favourite clutch, from Topshop in Manila, Philippines. Love the mix of cool snakeskin and the old sort of rococo-inspired flower print, and the colour combination fits perfectly with all my black and nude clothes! A new Danish designer webshop was launched during fashion week: Fashion Fifteen. There aren't that many items in there yet, but if I had to pick something, I'd go with the outfit to the left...
What else... hmm, oh yeah today is valentines day and I'm going on a triple date tonight, will be fun! I bought a red dress, but decided to wear it last weekend for another event, so I think I'll go with a short black sort of lose one with "ruffles" down the sides (hard to explain, I'll try to get someone to take a picture of me!), which Im planning on wearing with a thin studded nude-coloured waist belt, black tights, heels, and the most adorable topshop clutch I found in a mall in the philippines last fall. Its so so pretty and cool, its black with nude/purple flowers and has a snake-skin effect - sounds wierd i know, but it really is just perfect. I love it so much. ...As you alreadya know, Im not going to fashion week since I have so many other plans this weekend! Today I'm going to Århus to be with my sister; we're gonna go to an art museum where I have to do some research for a school project, and then we are going shopping and out for dinner at a fanzy sushi restaurant! Like, like, LOVE:) Anyway, still havent gotten around the whole taking pictures of my outfits yet, so I'm just gonna tell you about what I'm wearing! First up a pair of gorgeous harem pants I bought on sale yesterday (see picture!) - They are just so comfortable and soft, i think i could LIVE in them haha:) I'm pairing them with a tucked in longsleeved T-shirt - white with navy blue Coco Chanel-inspired stripes, a pair of black studded shoe boots, leather bracelets, a long silver necklace and a long side-ways braid... feeling pretty urban-chic and casual, and ready for a great day! :) xoxo /L

hello, hello:) I'm back!! It's a new day, the sun is shining from a clear, frosty sky, and I'm having the day off. Could life be any better?? (...yeah it could, if i were at fashionweek!!!) BUT, i'm not gonna bitch about it. instead i'll be happy for all the money I'm saving... (okay fuck it, I really wanna go huhuuu!! ;) ) As I said I'm having the day off, and while studying for next weeks classes, - and in between facebooking, reading magazines, taking a footbath and watering my new orchid, I just squeezed in a little visit at smartgirl.dk! Here's what I found: A great outfit which I'm seriously thinking about investing in! A lot of it is on sale, so the total price is only a little past DKK 1000 and can be mixed and matched a 1000 ways:) Anyway, this was just my little input of the day, - I know it doesnt meassure up to all the live reports from the great shows in CPH that a lot of you other bloggers are throwing into blogspace these days, but I'm hoping you'll find a little bit of inspiration anyway:) xoxo /L

hey guys, whoever you are reading my blog? (im still absolutely blown away that i have almost had 100 unique readers in less than a month, but please comment or join as followers so i know who you are and can read your blogs as well! ;) ) ...last night i talked about remembering the little details when putting together your outfits; here's my outfit of the day: all H&M and pretty basic, but with a twist of colour and detail here and there, just the way i like it:) Its still freezing cold here in Denmark, but Im really starting to get tired of it (WANT SPRING NOW :D ) so I have started wearing all my spring/summer skirts and dresses (not the really colourful ones, but all my basic skirts, maxi's and strapless...) which I layer with thick tights under, warm knits and cool scarfs over etc, but it just still gives me that summerish feeling im longing for (yeah, i know, im playing mindgames with myself, tricking myself into summer-mood, but hey it works so stop laughing and admit that it's a good idea that you're actually considering trying out yourself as you're reading this ;D) Have a GREAT day everyone, and now go put on that summer dress!! ...i know you want to:)

...showing you two photos of actress Emmy Rossum (Phantom of the Opera) just to point out the importance of accessories and detailing when putting together an outfit... I mean, what really makes the look to the left is the trendy fedora hat and the side braid... neck down it's VERY casual and kinda boring! (sorry:) ) ...and to the right it is the gold buttons detailing on the waist of the dress, which matches the ones on her bag, that sets the outfit apart and makes it noticable... There's Someone I Want to Introduce You to...

Meet Betty. Not Ugly-Betty Betty, but french Betty owner of the blog "Le Blog de Betty" and my most recent style icon! I think she's amazing, not just because she's french (read previous posts!) but because her style is so cool and effordless and just very, very put together + she writes really well which always helps:)
...Anyway, the reason why I wanted to tell you about Betty is because of this outfit; boyfriend jeans, wedge boots, studded jacket AND a lingerie top, which is a huge trend right now! I have seen it in several versions on several websites, bodies in mesh like the one Betty is wearing, or more corsage-like pieces, but I have never thought about buying them except to wear UNDERNEATH my clothing! But along came Betty, and she showed me, what I now want to show you guys, that wearing these boudior-style lingerie-tops doesnt have to be slutty and tacky, - they can in fact be very cool, delicate and give sort of an understated sexappeal IF you style them right! I think Betty's outfit is close to perfection, its casual yet elegant and edgy and it just really, really works for me... Maybe it's because I'm in love with anything french at the moment, or maybe, just maybe this trend isnt so bad after all... hmm;)

Spring Collage With A Splash Of PARIS!

My inspiration this spring is PARIS! Click on the collage to see larger image! These are all the things I wish were in my wardrobe this spring and that I'm planning on buying/wishing for my birthday! The color palet is navy, white, nude, beige, black, denim and grey - likes to keep it a little classic, but still young and chic! I wanna wear lots of skirts this spring, with warm tight underneath and pretty ballerinas and chunky heels. To give it all an edge I will play with hats and accessories, and incorporate the quilts, the stripes and the navy sailor look to give it that modern parisian Chanel-inspired twist! But its not just about the clothes! I read blogs by french girls all the time and i love them because they're just so stylish... their outfits, their figure, their sense of humour, their accent and their interest in fashion, art, photography... the city life, the strolls by the seine, the petite café's, just everything! ...Im reading a book about a young french woman at the moment. I wanna be like her!! I mean, i of course still wanna be me, but with a splash of her all over me;) ...Wish I was going to Paris this Spring, just a quick getaway, just a tini-tiny weekend trip... I wish! But so far my goal is to get my hands on as many of the items from my collage as possible, - thank god my birthday is comming up soon:)

Fashion Week at Grandma's!

February is Copenhagen Fashion Week. And I'm not going :( Would have loved to, had actually half way planned it, but with the new semester just starting, trying to save up and with a lot of other things planned, i have decided to wait till summer... Also February and March are big family-get-together months in my family, especially this year with big birthdays (including my own:-) ), gold anniversaries, confirmation and so on, so instead of blogging about which outfits to wear to which shows and events (huhuu:( ) here's what i'll be wearing for my family events... first up is my grandmothers 70th birthday, where we have been invited out for a sunday lunch. Im thinking about wearing something in the style of this outfit - all from H&M at a total cost of approcimately DKK 500. Florals are big for spring, but honestly I dont really own anything with flowers what so ever, so even though the outfit looks very conventional and pretty-sweet, it's actually a big deal for me to step into this garden so to speak:) ...but what better time to try out this trend than at my grandmas birthday, im sure she will absolutely love it:)

...also just thought i'd show you a couple of really, really pretty shoes from Danish All-Organic Designer Camilla Norrback. They are 100% good for you and the environment, and very chic with both leggins, jeans, pants, skirts, dresses - whatever really, so a good buy:) the wedge heel (you know i LOVE wedges:)) is 8 cm, so they fit perfectly to a girl like me, who has this thing about not wanting to be taller than her boyfriend;)

Here's a little valentines-day-look-inspiration if you're planning on a night out with your special someone:) There's gotta be something red!! so, i found this cute dress on asos, which i guess is really a summer dress, but with the right styling it will be perfect for winter too! I would wear it with black stockings, plack shiny platform heels, an oversize clutch and a fitted blazer jacket... I like the fact that the dress is a little see-through, so wear a pretty black bra underneath to sex it up a little; -it is after all valentines day, but at the same time you're being really decent and sweet looking:)

Victoria Beckham On The Loose!

Victoria Beckham. Love her, hate her, but don't deny the lady is classy as hell! Personally I love her, and I especially love her new SS10 line, where I think she shows a new, more fun and colourful side we havent seen before... The collection is still full of tailored, fitted dresses (which are of course gorgeous too), but in between there are pieces like this, - a beautiful twisted print corset dress, perfect for summer parties and just a great look for the new season... Love the dye-effect, the white, yellow, purple combination that is in general really contradiction, but just works in this case!! So, huge respect for Victoria (who by the way has recently been spotted in flats for the first time in... ever??) :)

Grammy Review: 3 Fav Long + 3 Fav Short Dresses

Grammys last night, and as promised here's a little dress review... First up is my top 3 long dresses. Keri Hilson is in a classic Dolce and Gabanna mermaid dress, which I love because its just so simple and chic, and with her hairdo and accessories she just captures real glamour.

Next up is Pink, who is wearing a dress which probably wouldn't look as great on anyone else but her, - it just captures her style and the rest of her look, with the silver blond her and edgy attitude. So cudos to her for taking a bit of a risk in her choice of dress, but also for toning it down with white/black and silver shades making the look more elegant and sophisticated.

Finally there is Taylor Swift, always looking so petite and gracefully girly. At first I didn't really like her dress, thought it was way too shimmery and "classic grammy", but after having second and third looks from all angles, I can see that she has taken some chances, making it more modern and youthful with the neckline, the back detailing and the straight seem down the centre of the dress. She could have still been more dar ing though, I mean its the Grammy's and people are allowed to stand out a little more!

On to the short dresses, which I in general think are a little more appropriate for the Grammy's, because they are usually more fun and flirty. The first one I like is Lea Michele's, - it compliments her body well, emphasising her curves and adding a little fun.

Next up is Miley Cyrus, who I think is finally starting to get her style right. Love this long sleeved minidress with its futuristic twist, and the cool clutch and wavy hair is just perfect - fits my image perfectly of how young musicians should dress for these kind of events! Finally we have Fergie, who always rocks mini dresses, and who has recently shown impecable red carpet style in my opinion, the Grammys no exeption! Her blue dress is from Emilio Pulido, who is also the man behind Heidi Klums Grammys dress, and I just love the gold detailing, that makes is youthful and fun and adds just the right amount of glamour:-)

And so, these were my pics... In general, the red carpet wasn't that great this year though, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Katy Perry and Rhianna all wore really unflattering pieces, and no one really nailed the look. Would have love to see more colour, more short dresses and more fun accessories... Well, maybe next year...

Anyway, now we're waiting for the Oscars in March, hopefully we'll then get a chance to see some real old fashioned hollywood glamour, - personally counting on Angelina Jolie, Diane Kruger, Michelle Williams and Kate Hudson to blow us away, and who knows, maybe Sandra Bullock will finally get her red carpet style all fierce like her amazing acting??? Can't wait;-) /L

Beige Heels - Musthave for Spring

The movie "When in Rome" premiered this weekend, and these three lovely ladies were spotted at the Los Angeles premiere. Their dresses are all gorgeous for sure, but what I stumbled upon was the fact that they had all chosen to pair their dresses with nude/beige heels which i think will be one of the most influential colors this spring! Looking forward to Grammy's tonight, somehow musicians are often a little more daring fashionwise than actresses - probably because they are used to wearing really costumy over the top stage outfits... anyway, will of course check up on that over the next couple of days... enjoy the rest of the sunday!!

Alexa Chung And Haute Couture

Gorgeous model Alexa Chung in a beautiful, simple Chanel dress spotted at Chanel's Haute Couture show in Paris. I actually recently wrote a paper for school about haute couture, and what I found really interesting was how much money the haute couture houses actually spend, and loose (!) on the haute couture pieces and the couture shows, when in reality their customer base is limited to around 200 women!! The reason why they continue the century long French tradition though, is that the couture pieces help create a dream, a frame of fairy tales, prince charmings and endless beauty, and we buy in to it. Not but purchasing the expensive haute couture gowns, but all the smaller things i.e. the prét a poter pieces, the perfumes, make up etc... interesting thought right? I know, I looooove haute couture, and the dream works just fine for me:)

...just thought about Olivia Wilde's recent red carpet looks, which I think are all spot on and beautifully styled, but then it struck me; she's always, always wearing white and silver/grey shades, not much of an experimenter with colour... Now personally I don't mind, because as I said, I really love all of the above looks and I think she has a great sense of style, - I just thought it was fun to dig out a few pics from the past two years and see that she's still all about the same colours (or lack thereof!) Gorgeous body, gorgeous face, gorgeous dresses though, seems like she's got everything going for her at the moment, now I just can't wait to see what she'll wear in the red carpet events to come...
